The patient’s brachial vascular bundle was severed with a rupture of a segment of about 5 cm of the brachial artery, of the median nerve, of the ulnar nerve, of about 4 cm.

The team performed a surgical resection of the contusion artery, using the method of venous grafting with a large saphenous vein of the same side of the limb with the corresponding size and length. Next, the two brachial veins are connected, the median nerve is connected, the incision is made, the broken muscle is sutured, and the nerve bundle is covered.

Regarding the broken ulnar nerve, the e-kip marked and carried out the second nerve coupling in the near future. Doctor Khanh said that the surgery went smoothly for more than 3 hours.

After surgery, the patient’s vital signs are stable, the finger tips on the left side are pink, the radial pulse is clear, and the patient continues to receive heating lights on the connected extremities, monitor the vital status, perfusion of the fingertips as well as the radial pulse. must be every 2 hours in the first day.

Currently, the patient has been transferred to the Orthopedic Department to continue monitoring hemodynamics, limb perfusion, and radial pulse every 4-6 hours, continuing to use anticoagulants to prevent thrombosis. after connection.
