Detailed schedule of 40 sports and venues at SEA Games 31
SEA Games 31 officially kicks off in Vietnam from May 12 to May 23. This Southeast Asian Games has 40 sports with 523 contents, held in Hanoi (main venue) and 11 neighboring provinces and cities, namely Ha Nam, Nam Dinh, Ninh Binh, Phu Tho, and North Vietnam. Giang, Bac Ninh, Vinh Phuc, Hai Duong, Hai Phong, Quang Ninh, Hoa Binh.
The three earliest sports at SEA Games 31 include: men’s soccer, beach handball and Kickboxing (starting from May 6). Some other sports with scheduled matches before the Opening Ceremony include diving (May 8), rowing (May 9), Pencak silat (May 10), kurash (May 10), chess (May 10). /5), men’s/women’s futsal (May 10) and women’s football (May 11).

The opening ceremony of the 31st SEA Games will take place on May 12 at My Dinh Stadium. Meanwhile, the Opening Ceremony was held on a smaller scale at the Indoor Athletics Palace on May 23.
At SEA Games 31, nearly 5,100 athletes from 11 countries in Southeast Asia participated in the competition.
The host Vietnam sports delegation attending the 31st SEA Games has a total of 1,341 members; including 951 athletes, 250 coaches, 30 experts, 46 team leaders.
The Vietnam Sports Delegation will compete in 40/40 subjects, 508/523 events at the 31st SEA Games and is expected to strive for 140 gold medals or more to top the medal tally.
