Arresting the driver who appropriated the phone of a Russian tourist
HanoiTaxi driver Tran Quoc Hung, 34, was held in criminal custody to clarify the act of taking two Russian tourists’ phones when asking to charge the battery in the car.

According to verification, at dawn on May 5, Hung drove a taxi to pick up two Russian female tourists who were walking on Lan Ong Street to the Cam Chi food street area of Hang Bong ward. While the car was moving, two female tourists asked the driver to help charge two phones in the car because the battery was almost empty.
Around 3:15, when they reached the fork in Hang Bong alley, because they did not have Vietnamese money, the two female tourists told the driver to wait to change money. While waiting, Hung thought that the two Russian girls did not know Vietnamese, could hardly call or report to the police, so they got greedy and drove away.
At noon of the same day, Hung was summoned to work and handed over two phones for the police to carry out procedures to return the victim.
