According to the lawsuit file, in October 2017, Land Ha Hai participated and won the auction of the right to use 2 land lots in Hoa Hai new urban area (Hoa Hai ward, Ngu Hanh Son district) with a total area of 12, 04 hectares of Sudico, the price is nearly 1,810 billion VND. The two parties have signed a contract to transfer land use rights.

After that, Land Ha Hai discovered that the legal aspects of the 2 land lots still had some problems, so they did not continue to pay as committed despite Sudico’s repeated reminders.
On August 30, 2018, Sudico issued a notice to unilaterally terminate the contract, declare to cancel the transaction, take full ownership of the pre-ordered amount because it believes that Land Ha Hai violated the contract.
The two sides sued each other in court. On December 8, 2021, the People’s Court of Ngu Hanh Son District (Da Nang City) issued a first-instance judgment, accepted Sudico’s petition to sue, and agreed to terminate the land use transfer contract between the two companies for 2 lots. land.
In addition, the court denied the request to initiate a lawsuit requesting to continue performing the contract of transferring the above 2 land lots of Land Ha Hai. At the same time, the request for Sudico to compensate for damage to Land Ha Hai was rejected because the transfer process took a long time.
Immediately after hearing the judge’s verdict, Mr. Vo Van Cuong (Director of Land Ha Hai Co., Ltd.) urgently took out a bottle of insecticide from his pocket and drank it in court.
The police force protecting the trial immediately accompanied Mr. Cuong’s family to take Mr. Cuong to the hospital for emergency treatment. After that, the two companies appealed the first-instance judgment.
Regarding the case, in December 2021, the Office of the President of the State sent a document to convey the direction of President Nguyen Xuan Phuc requesting clarification of information about the incident that occurred at the People’s Court of Ngu Hanh Son district.
