In the last cycle, world gasoline prices continuously increased sharply. According to the data of the Ministry of Industry and Trade updated to May 6, the price of finished gasoline on the Singapore market tends to increase.

Accordingly, the average price of gasoline RON 92 is 138 USD/barrel; The average price of RON 95 gasoline is about 141 USD/barrel. Besides, the price of diesel oil has surpassed the level of 156 USD/barrel; and kerosene has approached 150 USD/barrel.

Meanwhile, the average price of petroleum products in the world at the previous operating period (May 4) for gasoline E5 RON 92 was 126,484 USD/barrel; for gasoline RON is 95 USD 130.337/barrel; and diesel is 142,976 USD/barrel.

With the trend of gasoline prices in recent days continuously increasing strongly, while domestic gasoline prices are currently negative compared to world prices ranging from 1,400 – 2,100 VND/liter, oil products are currently negative about 1,400 – 1,700 VND/liter. Therefore, according to forecasts of petroleum enterprises, in this adjustment period (May 11), the Inter-Ministry of Finance – Industry and Trade will adjust gasoline prices to increase sharply.

If gasoline prices continue to be adjusted up, how much is the price of gasoline today 11/5?

According to forecasts, in the operating period today, May 11, if the management agency does not deduct the petrol and oil price stabilization fund, the price of gasoline and oil may increase from 1,500-2,000 VND/liter. However, if the Inter-Ministry to reduce setting up or increase expenditures for the Stabilization Fund, domestic gasoline and oil prices may increase less, but will still increase at a high rate.

Thus, although the operating agency may increase less, it is still at a high level. With the expected increase, the price of RON 95 gasoline will approach the milestone of VND 30,000/liter, and if it increases to cover 100% of the loss, it will surpass the VND 30,000 mark.

If the forecast is correct, this will be the third time that domestic gasoline prices have increased in a row.

Previously, at the most recent adjustment session on May 4, the price of E5 RON 92 gasoline increased by 330 VND/liter, with a maximum selling price of 27,460 VND/liter; RON 95 gasoline price increased by 440 VND / liter, the maximum selling price is 28,430 VND / liter. At the same time, the price of diesel oil increased by 180 VND/liter, the maximum selling price was 25,530 VND/liter; kerosene price remained unchanged at 23,820 VND/liter; and fuel oil alone reduced 240 VND/kg.
