In recent years, terrace gardening has become very popular because it is suitable for households living in cities with “crowded land”, convenient and meets the increasing demand for clean vegetables in modern times. . Ms. H. (Ha Tinh) fell in love with terrace gardening at the time of the Covid-19 outbreak. At first, she worked as a gardener for the family’s need for clean vegetables, then gradually formed a passion, a challenge, and a hobby after every working day. The garden is also growing bigger and more beautiful.
The overhead garden in Ha Tinh is neatly arranged and beautiful.
The cost of a terrace garden is only 1/100 of a land garden
The first impression of the overhead garden in Ha Tinh is too majestic. The garden has a hanging truss system, the vegetable pots are neatly and neatly arranged. All are installed systematically and planned to make everyone laugh. Therefore, many people believe that, to complete the garden, the family must spend a large amount. In response, Ms. H. wittily revealed: “The cost of gardening is only 1/100 of the value of a piece of land spent growing vegetables.”
Before that, Ms. H. used to grow vegetables in styrofoam boxes on the balcony. She shared: “In the past, I also worked in the garden, but I didn’t invest properly, but only planted it in styrofoam and planted it mainly on the balcony. At the time of the Covid-19 outbreak, I started to clear a corner of the terrace about 25m2 to work. Although the space is enough to grow plants for the family’s eating needs, it seems cramped. Recently, I expanded the area, arranged and arranged everything so that the garden is not only a place to grow vegetables but also a place to grow vegetables. is a place to check-in and relax for the whole family”.
The current garden is 50m2 wide, fully functional, full of vegetables and beautifully decorated.
Garden space is stratified, above are hanging pots, below are large vegetable pots. Thanks to the optimization of space, Ms. H. can grow a variety of fruits without the garden being confused.
The front garden is well planned.

To make a planter, Ms. H. bought a Cemboard, cut and glued it and put it in a stainless steel frame. The cost of making pots from Cemboard is more expensive than plastic pots but the durability is 2-3 times higher. Therefore, in the long run, this approach is somewhat more effective. In addition, the pots from Cemboard were conceived by Ms. H. herself and built by a craftsman, so they are suitable for the size of the garden as well as the layout intentions of the owner.
Pots made from cemboard are strong and durable.
In particular, Ms. H. did not make the roof for the garden to create a more open and beautiful space. Thanks to that, when viewed from above, the garden looks like a picture with fresh green patches, beautifully designed hanging truss system. However, because she did not install a roof, Ms. H. also had a harder time taking care of vegetables, especially when it was sunny, heavy rain and even attacked by pests.
The garden is mostly seasonal vegetables. For example, in recent days, Ms. H. has grown squash, melons, bitter gourds, peanuts, gourds, cowpeas, zucchini, okra, eggplants and chili peppers; leafy vegetables such as amaranth, spinach, water spinach, kale, mustard greens, spinach, chives,… She said: “My garden grows all kinds of seasonal plants. In any season, I grow something, I grow it and mainly buy F1 varieties imported from other countries and some common trees in Vietnam.”
Ms. H. installs lights on the hanging poles, helping the garden shimmer as soon as it gets dark.
Climbing shoes are designed in a unique circular shape.

Ms. H. uses pots of the same type and color for the same row, creating a neat feeling.
Busy at work and taking care of the family, but Ms. H. always spends time taking care of the garden. Thanks to that, the garden is always green and luxuriant with vegetables. Ms. H. said that since she started gardening, she has not had to go to the market to buy them for 3 years.
