Caught the thief of the garbage cover on Thu Thiem 2 bridge, HCMC

The suspect who committed the theft is Nguyen Van Thai (SN 1970), a bricklayer, living in Binh Thanh district.

At the police station, Thai confessed that because he did not have a stable job and lack of money to spend, he had an intention to steal. While walking on Thu Thiem 2 bridge, seeing that the manhole covers of the sewer pipes on the bridge were easy to get and sold, Thai took advantage of the late night, stole the manhole covers and sold them to the barn. According to the police, Mr. Thai stole 32 round metal garbage covers, 23 cm in diameter and 2.5 cm thick on the bridge. The missing garbage cover affects the drainage on the bridge, potentially creating an accident risk for vehicles.
