Ukraine exercises with NATO amid the escalation of hostilities with Russia

Veiko-Vello Palm confirmed that the Hedgehog exercise also involved a small number of troops from Ukraine and Georgia, which are not members of NATO.

“Both these countries want to participate in exercise Hedgehog, to better understand NATO’s approach and decision-making,” noted bee Palm.

The ambitions of both Ukraine and Georgia to join NATO have alarmed Russia in recent years. Russia has declared Ukraine’s neutrality status and its failure to join the NATO alliance are Moscow’s most important demands in any peace talks aimed at ending the war.
