Dancesport Vietnam “golden bumper” on the opening day of the 31st SEA Games

In today’s competition, Sports Dance has 6 final contents including: Samba, Cha cha cha, Rumba, Paso Doble, jive, 5 Latin dances. In which, Vietnamese dancers with 2 dance pairs: Nguyen Trung Kien/Pham Hong Anh and Doan Minh Truong/Dang Thu Huong competed in all 6 dances above and excellently won medals in all 6 events. Attendance includes 5 gold medals and 1 bronze medal.

Specifically, the couple Nguyen Trung Kien – Pham Hong Anh had a beautiful and impressive performance to bring home the first gold medal for Sports Dance at the 31st SEA Games in the Samba dance with a high score. And just a few minutes later, the same couple also won another gold medal for the Vietnam Sports Delegation in the Rumba dance. The couple also won a bronze medal in Cha Cha Cha dance.

Shining on the same day of competition today, the couple Doan Minh Truong – Dang Thu Huong also had an excellent performance, completely conquering the Referee Board with soft dances and skillful techniques to bring home the award. Sports dance added 3 more gold medals in Paso doble, Jive and 5 Latin dances.

Thus, at the end of the first day of the sport of dance, the Vietnamese team excelled at the top of the medal table of this subject. At this SEA Games, the sport of Dance has the participation of 6 delegations from countries: Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Cambodia, Philippines and host Vietnam.
