On the morning of May 20, Hoan Kiem District Police (Hanoi) said they had caught and clarified the case of more than 40 teenagers flying around in the Light Lounge bar in the area.
Before that, at about 1:20 a.m. on May 7, Hoan Kiem District Police suddenly raided the Light Lounge bar (on Hang Tre Street, Ly Thai To Ward) and seized 10 pills and 2 pieces of MDMA-type drugs, 3 Plastic bags containing Ketamine and many objects related to drug use at 4 tables of guests.

The police agency made a record, sealed all the exhibits and brought 87 subjects, including 47 guests and 40 employees of the bar to the headquarters for clarification.
Through rapid test, up to 40 subjects were positive for drugs. Based on the collected documents, Hoan Kiem District Police issued an urgent arrest warrant and urgently searched the residences of 3 subjects, including 2 guests and the shop’s manager: Nguyen Quoc Khanh (SN 1983, in Hoa Mac town, Duy Tien ward, Ha Nam province), Nguyen Van Anh (born 1997, in Yen Lac district, Vinh Phuc province) and Nguyen Toan Trung (born in 1992, residing in Khuong Trung ward, Thanh Xuan district, Ha Nam province) Interior).
During the investigation, the police agency determined, Nguyen Toan Trung is the manager of the Light Lounge bar. Although the staff informed about the customer’s drug use at the shop, they ignored it. Trung’s behavior has enough elements to constitute the crime of harboring illegal drug use.
On the same day, Hoan Kiem District Police checked the Fame bar with the address at 25 Ngo Van So, Tran Hung Dao ward, and discovered 27 guests were positive for drugs.
Currently, Hoan Kiem District Police are continuing to expand the investigation.
