Thailand lifted most of the epidemic prevention measures from June 1

Thailand will not require people at high risk of COVID-19 infection to undergo medical isolation, instead only need to self-monitor their health for 10 days.

The Thai government also adjusted the regional classification according to the COVID-19 epidemic situation. The green and blue regions, including the capital Bangkok, will be allowed to reopen night service businesses, with no limit on the number of people gathered. Meanwhile, the golden regions are allowed to gather no more than 1,000 people outdoors and no more than 75% of the seats at stadiums and theaters.

Regarding immigration regulations, Thai citizens will not need to register for “ThaiPass”. Foreign visitors to Thailand are still required to register for “ThaiPass” and must purchase COVID-19 insurance, but the results of the review will be announced immediately. Visitors entering Thailand will not have to undergo mandatory medical isolation even if they have not had enough COVID-19 vaccine, instead they only need to have a negative rapid test result at the airport.
