See the longest lake crossing bridge on the North Highway

Yen My lake overpass project belongs to package XL03 – Component project of investment in construction of National Highway 45 – Nghi Son, part of project to build some sections of North – South expressway in the East (phase 2017). -2021).

The bridge has a length of 995.8 m (nearly 1 km) built by a joint venture of contractors, namely Mien Trung Construction Group Joint Stock Company and Vietnam Construction and Import-Export Corporation (Vinaconex).

With a length of nearly 1 km, this is considered the longest lake-crossing bridge on the route North – South Expressway.

By design, Yen My lake overpass has 24 pillars, 2 abutments and 25 Super T spans (each span is 40 m long). All construction work is done on site from drilling piles, pouring beams, pouring abutments, due to the construction location right on the lake bed by floating buoy system.

Due to site clearance problems and the Covid-19 epidemic, the bridge started construction 3 months later than planned (expected in July 2021 but not until October 2021).

Once completed, the civet tree crossing the lake will become a highlight on the entire highway because of its vast lake surface and clear blue water, creating one of the most beautiful roads, and at the same time contributing to the completion of the planning in terms of architecture of Yen My lake eco-tourism area.

According to information from the contractor, it is expected that the bridge will be completed by September 2023
