North Korea records more than 2.81 million cases

The Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) reported yesterday that the country has recorded more than 167,000 new fever cases and 1 death, in the context that Pyongyang is facing an outbreak of COVID-19. .

On the same day, South Korea’s Unification Ministry said that the South Korean government is waiting for North Korea’s response to an offer of cooperation to deal with the COVID-19 outbreak and leaves the door open for sending aid through international organizations for the Pyongyang government.

Japan also implied that its government may need to consider helping North Korea deal with the COVID-19 epidemic.
