New generation Lexus RX launched
The 5th generation of the luxury crossover model debuted with some changes in appearance, with 4 engine options and 3 hybrid versions.
Lexus RX 2023 is based on the GA-K platform, which helps the car reduce about 90 kg compared to the old generation. The wheelbase has increased by almost 60 mm, but the overall length remains the same. The longer wheelbase also means more space for passengers on the RX.
The new generation crossover has four engine options, but currently the company only provides information of three versions including RX 350, RX 350h and RX 500h F Sport Performance. Particularly, version 450h+ will be announced later.

It is worth noting that the 3.5-liter V6 engine on the RX 350 and RX 450h versions of the old generation has been replaced by 4-cylinder engines.
The new RX 350 uses a 2.4-liter, turbo, 4-cylinder engine, an 8-speed automatic transmission, front- or 4-wheel drive. Vehicle capacity of 275 horsepower and torque of 430 Nm. Fuel consumption on mixed roads is 9.8 liters per 100 km.
The RX 350h uses Toyota’s familiar hybrid setup, with a 2.5-liter inline-four and electric motors for 246 horsepower. 4-wheel drive is standard and fuel consumption on a mixed road is 7.1 liters / 100 km.
The RX 500h F Sport Performance combines a 2.4-liter, turbocharged, 4-cylinder engine with an electric motor and a 6-speed automatic transmission. Direct4 all-wheel drive system. The total output of the system is 367 hp and 542 Nm of torque. Fuel consumption on mixed roads is 9 liters / 100 km.
Equipment versions include Standard, Premium, Premium+, Luxury, F Sport Handling and F Sport Performance. 19-inch wheels are standard on all versions. with 21 inch rims as option. Depending on the version, customers can choose from 10 different paint colors.
RX 2023 owns a grille with a new pattern, sharper headlights and LED daytime running lights, sportier side air intakes. But like the old generation, the new RX retains the fancy C-pillar design with a long black stripe. The biggest difference at the rear of the car is the flat taillights and connecting the two sides.
The interior of the new-generation RX has been redesigned and looks similar to the NX, with the option of a 14-inch touchscreen display and Lexus’ latest infotainment system. Interior color options include 6 different tones, as well as a variety of materials including bamboo, wood paneling and aluminum.
Lexus has not announced the price of the RX 2023 but is expected to increase compared to the old generation. In the US, the RX 350 is currently priced from $47,000. The car will go on sale from the end of this year.
In Vietnam, Lexus currently distributes 4 versions of RX, with a suggested price of VND 3.18-4.64 billion.
