Tuan Tai scored at 17 seconds, but not the fastest in the history of the Asian U23 tournament

At 22:00 on June 2, U23 Vietnam debuted in the final round of U23 Asia, met U23 Thailand in Group C. This is the debut match of the new coach Gong Oh-kyun, so the players in the red shirt entered the game very quickly.

Immediately after the opening whistle of referee Ma Ninh, the U23 Vietnam players flooded into the field of Thailand U23 and approached the opponent. U23 Vietnam deployed to catch the ball quickly, causing the Thai U23 defender to be confused and pass the ball wrong.

This is recorded as the fastest goal in the history of Vietnam U23 team in official tournaments. However, it is not the fastest table in the history of the Asian U23 Championship. The current record belongs to Cho Jae-Wan of South Korea. At the 2018 Asian U23 Championship, Cho Jae-Wan hit the Malaysian U23 net after only 11.35 seconds.
