According to initial information, the collision occurred around 3:30 am on the same day, between an unknown vessel with a fishing boat QNg-91426 TS led by fisherman Tran Van Cong (47 years old, residing in Quang Ngai province) as captain and owner. ship.

The two ships collided at 15.47 degrees North latitude – 108.32 degrees East longitude, about 7 nautical miles from the coast of Binh Duong commune (Thang Binh district). There are 8 fishermen on board and all reside in Quang Ngai city.
Receiving information, the Border Guard Command of Quang Nam province directed Cua Dai Border Guard Station (Hoi An City) to mobilize 2 canoes and 10 officers and soldiers to participate in the rescue.
Cua Dai Border Guard Station rescued 7 fishermen from the ship, of which 2 died, 5 were injured, the remaining fishermen are still missing.
It is known that the ship QNg-91426 TS, practicing shoveling, departed at 13:00 on June 4, at Sa Ky border checkpoint, Quang Ngai province.
Border guards are trying to find the missing fisherman as well as investigating the incident.
