Bring a truck carrying 260,000 coins to buy motorbikes
IndiaMr. V. Bhoopathy, from Salem City, Tamil Nadu state confused a motorbike shop when he drove to a truck of coins to buy his dream car, on March 24.
The car Bhoopathy (29 years old) bought is Bajaj Dominar, priced at 260,000 rupees (about 78.5 million VND). He had saved up for three years to collect this money and rented trucks and wheelbarrows to bring the money to the store.
“At first we were going to refuse because banks often charge extra for checking coins, which is not a small amount of 260,000 rupees. But in the end we accepted because we don’t want customers to be disappointed,” said Mahavikranth, the store manager. and said that it had to mobilize 5 employees and 4 friends of the customer to check money in nearly 10 hours.
For its part, Bhoopathy also pledged to change all these coins into higher denominations if the bank makes it difficult and does not accept coins. “And now I’m very happy because my dream has been achieved,” the 29-year-old confided.
However, Bhoopathy is not currently able to exchange money due to the ongoing bank strike.
The whole car buying process was filmed and shared on his personal page. After a day of posting, the video has received more than 22,000 views. The image of the coins stacked on top of each other went viral, making many people excited. Some people expressed their admiration and efforts to achieve the boy’s dream.
Boopathy is not the first to use coins to buy cars. In February this year, a man in Assam, India also brought a sack of coins to buy a scooter.
