According to the Korean Joint Chiefs of Staff, South Korea and the United States launched surface-to-ground missile of the Army Tactical Missile System for about 10 minutes from 4:45 a.m. on June 6 (local time).
In a press release, the South Korean Joint Chiefs of Staff stated that the joint launch of surface-to-surface missiles by South Korea and the United States has shown the ability to act together as well as the point of view in being able to launch immediate, high-precision attacks in response to provocations.
In addition, Seoul also expressed its displeasure at Pyongyang’s conduct missile test launch ballistic missiles, and called on North Korea to immediately stop these actions, which are said to increase tensions on the Korean peninsula and raise security concerns.
Seoul officials have warned that Pyongyang’s military provocations will receive a corresponding response.

The move comes after on June 5, North Korea launched a total of eight short-range ballistic missiles to the east of the Korean peninsula from locations identified as Sunan, Pyeongyang, Gaecheon, and Pyeongnam. , Dongchang-ri, Pyeongbuk, Hamhung and Hamnam.
The South Korean Joint Chiefs of Staff confirmed that eight missiles were launched consecutively from about 9:08 am (local time) to many targets within 35 minutes.
North Korea conducted the launch after South Korea and the United States had just completed a large-scale joint exercise lasting three days, in which deployed the US aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan.
This is the first time since 2017 that a nuclear-powered aircraft carrier has been deployed to participate in a joint battle between the two allies.
Currently, the North Korean side has not commented on the missile test by South Korea and the US.
South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol said the country would respond firmly and firmly to any provocation by North Korea.
