At the ceremony, reporting on the process of formation and development of the Trade Union of the Ministry of Science and Technology, Mr. Do Xuan Ngoc said that, after 63 years of construction and development, the Trade Union of the Ministry of Science and Technology has gradually developed, contributing to the development of the Ministry of Science and Technology. the construction and development of the Ministry of Science and Technology in particular and of the science and technology industry in general. When it was first established, the Ministry’s Trade Union had 4 divisional unions with 274 trade union members, now there are 49 affiliated unions with nearly 7,000 union members.

These divisional unions. operating under the direct leadership of its affiliated cell, in order to unify the organization of the trade union at the committee level, the meeting of the committee’s party committee on May 12, 1959 issued a resolution “Establishing the general trade union executive committee”. On June 5, 1959, the Interim Trade Union Executive Committee of the State Committee of Science and Technology was officially launched and put into operation”, said Comrade Do Xuan Ngoc.
