* Governor of Lugansk province in eastern Ukraine, Mr. Serhiy Gaidai, said Russian forces pushed Ukrainian forces to the outskirts of the city of Sievierodonetskmarking a turning point in the war here.

“Our forces currently control only the outskirts of the city, but continue to fight,” Gaidai told local media. The nearby city of Lysychansk is also under heavy air strikes.

“I believe the Americans, not the Chinese, should pay some of these taxes, hurting American businesses and consumers,” Yellen said.

* Brazilian health authorities confirmed the first case of monkeypox in the country in a 41-year-old male patient who arrived in Sao Paulo city after traveling to Spain.
