Police in Nghe An province have just discovered and arrested four groups of people who organized illegal stone mining with more than 500m3 (equivalent to 1.3 thousand tons).
Previously, at 2pm on May 26, 2022, Nghe An Provincial Police mobilized forces including the Environmental Police Department and Nghia Dan District Police to detect and arrest 4 groups of subjects and many serving subjects. for illegal mining.

The four leading groups of illegal miners include: Bui Van Dong (SN 1981), Ho Van Thai (SN 1993), living in Dong Hop commune, Quy Hop district; Dang Thi Nga (SN 1974, residing in Quy Hop town); Nguyen Trong Dai (born in 1968, residing in Tay Hieu commune, Thai Hoa town).
These groups of subjects organize illegal stone mining on many hills located from 50m to 150m apart in Nghia Duc commune (Nghia Dan district) and a part adjacent to Thai Hoa town, Nghe An. At the scene, the police force seized 4 excavators, 2 trucks, 4 rock drill systems.

The subjects claimed to operate from 7:30 am to 5:00 pm daily, the stone after being mined will be transported by truck to stone processing factories located in Quy Hop district. The functional force recovered hundreds of finished stone blocks. The total volume of illegally exploited stone seized is more than 508m3 (equivalent to about 1.3 thousand tons of stone).
Currently, the case is being investigated and expanded by the Nghe An Provincial Police.
