Hanoi adds 26,708 Covid-19 cases, the number of severe and critical cases continues to decrease

According to the Hanoi CDC, out of 26,708 new Covid-19 cases, 9,095 are in the community and 17,613 F0 have been isolated.

The patients are distributed in 503 communes, wards and towns in 30/30 districts, towns. Some districts that recorded many patients during the day were Dong Anh (1,762), Soc Son (1,736), Hai Ba Trung (1,612), Thach That (1,510), Cau Giay (1,413). The cumulative number of cases in Hanoi during the 4th outbreak is 866,099 cases.

According to data from the Department of Medical Examination and Treatment, the Ministry of Health, the number of severe and critical cases in Hanoi is on a decreasing trend. TP has 3,823 F0 being treated at the hospital. Among the F0s in the hospital, there were 470 mild, asymptomatic patients, 2,656 moderate F0 and 697 severe, critical F0.

The Department of Medical Examination and Treatment also informed that the cumulative number of deaths in Hanoi was 1,287 cases, the mortality/incidence rate was 0.2%.

Thus, after many days of continuously increasing cases and peaking at 32,650 cases/day (on March 8), the number of new cases in Hanoi has tended to decrease. Notably, from March 13 to now, Hanoi has only recorded less than 30,000 F0 per day.

Currently, the Omicron variant has occupied the majority in Hanoi. In the most recent report, Hanoi recorded cases of Omicron variant infection in the community accounting for 80% (93/109 samples) of the samples of positive cases randomly sequenced, in there, predominating is the sub-variant BA.2 (86/93 samples). Thus, initially there were conclusive evidence, strain Omicron was the main circulating strain in Hanoi.

Sub-variant BA.2 (strain Omicron) dominated the F0 cases in Hanoi, with a rapid spread. However, patients on the 2nd and 3rd floors tend to decrease, so in recent days, the rate of F0 hospitalization only accounts for 1-1.5%.
