Therefore, Ms. Courtney Rogers, 37, married husband Chris, 33, in October 2008. Since they had always dreamed of becoming a mother, the couple quickly planned to have a baby when they both “moved into the same house”.

Despite having 12 children, previously the journey to find children for Courtney and her husband was not easy. She had three miscarriages in a row before giving birth to her first child when she was 26 years old.
“Since 2008, every year I pregnant. I’ve always wanted to have kids, but we don’t set a specific number. Then my husband asked me to have 10 children to be like his mother.
But after giving birth to 10 children, I felt young so we thought of having a dozen more, it felt like a perfect family with 6 boys and 6 girls. I have 12 children now but I will never use contraceptives“, Courtney shared.

The mother of 12 claims to have almost 35,000 followers on Instagram and is often criticized by people. Before, I felt really embarrassed about it, but now I don’t care anymore what people think of me.
Sister Courtney said: “Sometimes people would come to evaluate and criticize us, simply because they didn’t like the big family or thought we wouldn’t raise the kids well. I was a little embarrassed at first, but looking back now, I ask myself: Why should I be ashamed?

Even more surprising, Mrs Courtney raised her children at home, not sending them to school. His family day starts at 8 am when the whole family eats breakfast together. After that, I would teach my kids to study until around 11-11:30 and then clean up a bit before lunch.
Then it’s nap time, after nap time it’s time to study, do homework, clean and eat dinner. The children usually watch a small TV before going to bed, bedtime is 8:30-20:30.
While Courtney taught the children and cleaned the house, Chris worked at the church. Apart from that, he also does several odd jobs to earn money to cover his family’s living expenses.

It is known that every week his family will spend 400 USD to 500 USD (approximately 9.1 to 11.4 million VND) to buy food and necessities at the supermarket. To cut costs, this “giant” family is using cloth diapers and eliminating packaged foods, replacing them with fresh fruit they grow.
Apart from that, they also opened more animal farms. “We started farming 6 years ago. Our farm currently has dogs, sheep, pigs and chickens. I plan to expand the garden and increase the number of birds in the spring. We are waiting for the lamb and the sow to give birth‘ said Mrs Courtney.
