Regarding the case of Ms. Pham Thi Diem Hieu (22 years old, native of Long An) who died after having plastic surgery in Tuong Mai ward (Hoang Mai district, Hanoi), on March 18, the leader of the Company Hoang Mai district police said that the unit is investigating and clarifying the cause of the incident.

Mr. Hoang Minh Phong, the owner of the house where the victim had a rhinoplasty, shared that he is currently in Long An with his family to take care of the victim’s post-mortem. At the victim’s family, there were also authorities present to deal with the family.
“Even though the victim is not my guest and I don’t directly do it, but I will be responsible because they do it at my home. We have to be responsible, how to handle it properly.” Mr. Phong said.
“About criminal liability, the police will give the final result. Although the victim had a rhinoplasty at my own home, I have a full license and can carry out a rhinoplasty procedure at home. Now I try to take care of the mourning. everything goes smoothly, I hope Hieu can escape” Mr. Phong added.
Victims before the incident
Before information spread on social networks that Mr. Phong started out as a barber, then learned to switch to plastic surgery, Mr. Phong said that this information is not accurate.
Before that, on January 14, 2022, Pham Thi Diem Hieu went to a cosmetic facility recommended by her friend to lift her nose. A day later, the victim’s family received information from Bach Mai Hospital “Need family members to come directly to discuss urgently, if there are no family members, the hospital will not be responsible for the death of the patient”.
After 2 months of treatment, the victim died.
