Xiaomi stirs up the market again with a new series of cheap smartphones – Hi-tech Fashion

After kicking off the K50 series with the Redmi K50 Gaming earlier this year, Xiaomi has finally announced the Redmi K50 and K50 Pro phones.

The pair share the same body and most of the key specs, but the Pro version has a more impressive camera, faster charging and a better chip, as well as up to 512GB of internal storage.

Accordingly, Redmi K50 Pro comes with MediaTek’s Dimensity 9000 4nm chip, including Arm Cortex-X2 cores clocked at up to 3.05 GHz. The phone has a 7-layer vapor chamber cooling system for optimal heat retention. The Redmi K50 uses the Dimensity 8100 chip that was announced earlier this month.

Both Redmi K50 phones feature 6.7-inch AMOLED displays with QHD+ (3200 x 1440px) resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. The device is covered with Gorilla Glass Victus and both share the same 20MP Sony IMX596 selfie camera.

Redmi K50 Pro owns 108 MP main camera with OIS of Samsung, which combines an 8 MP ultra-wide camera and a 2 MP macro camera. Redmi K50 is equipped with 48MP Sony IMX 582 main camera with OIS, 8MP ultra-wide camera and 2MP macro camera.

Both phones have Bluetooth 5.3, NFC connectivity and MIUI 13 user interface. Redmi K50 Pro packs a 5,000 mAh battery with fast 120W charging, which fully charges the battery from 0 to 100% in just 19 minutes. The K50 even has a larger 5,500 mAh battery and 67W charging capabilities.

The Redmi K50 series comes in 4 color options, with black featuring a microcrystalline nano back design containing sparkling ice crystal components. Also available in Green, Silver and Blue colors.

Redmi K50 Pro is sold for 472 USD (10.79 million VND) for 8/128 GB configuration, 520 USD (11.89 million VND) for 8/256 GB configuration and 630 USD (14.4 million VND) for 12/512 GB configuration. Redmi K50 costs 378 USD (8.64 million VND) for 8/128 GB configuration and 440 USD (10 million VND) for 12/256 GB configuration.
