The Vespa 946 is Piagio’s iconic vehicle introduced in 2012 in Milan and loved for its elegant curves, simplicity and innovation in technology. The name of this high-end scooter comes from the birth year of the Vespa line – 1946. The car is inspired by the MP6, the original Vespa. Initially, the car only had two colors, black and white, but later there was a red color, commonly known as Vespa 946 Red, priced at about 405 million VND in Vietnam.

Founded in the same year – 1946, Italian car company Piagio and luxury fashion house Paris Dior have collaborated to produce a Vespa 946 Christian Dior motorcycle. The car has monohull architecture and subtle lines that honor the heritage of the two great brands.
The model was designed by Maria Grazia Chiuri, the creative director of Dior’s women’s collections and made in Italy. The original bike has a Dior Oblique print (designed by Marc Bohan in 1967) on the bottom of the saddle and part of the side.
In addition, the set with the car also includes a luggage suitcase behind and a helmet with the same pattern. However, these two items are not sold by car, but customers have to buy outside, at Dior stores.

Deposit 2 years to have a car, just received it and paid more than double
Back to Huong Trang’s story, she made a deposit to buy a Vespa 946 Christian Dior car 2 years ago. However, due to the epidemic situation, she was only able to receive the car until now. Famous on social networks with boxing of branded goods such as Chanel, Louis Vuitton … but this rare car unboxing makes Trang a bit nervous, because there are only 33 people in Vietnam who can buy it.
Huong Trang has paid nearly 700 million VND to buy a car and is currently ordering more helmets and suitcases. However, according to her story, the car has not been rolled out yet, but is being displayed at a fashion store owned by her. Trang said that many customers when coming to buy goods expressed their interest in the car and took pictures with them.
“Personally, I like this car because it is rare. When I just got the car back, someone paid me 1.3 billion VND to buy it back. I was quite surprised. However, I do not intend to sell it, but will keep it for use. With limited cars like this, it’s not just about having money to buy it, but it also depends on luck.”

Contacting a Vespa distributor in Vietnam, it is known that all 33 Vespa Dior cars are pre-ordered and out of stock. Currently, the dealer also no longer has Vespa 946 Red for sale.
