After becoming a successful businessman, Mr. Cesidio Di Ciacca found and negotiated to buy back all the real estate in the village from 140 owners, even though they all migrated and lived scattered in many parts of the world. .

After spending a lot of effort buying the “ghost village”, Mr. Cesidio Di Ciacca devoted himself to restoring the village of his ancestors for more than 10 years.

So from the image of the “ghost” village, there are only a few houses that were originally made of ruined stone farmers, with barns and sub-areas without doors, cracks and rickety steps. Now, the old village of Borgo I Ciacca has been neatly redesigned, eye-catching with lovely pastel houses, surrounded by a circular route overlooking the green hills.

In the village there is a canteen, meeting rooms, a library and two suites for tourists who prefer a “no electronics” country vacation. The estate’s vineyards, which specialize in growing Maturano (ancient, lost grape varieties) have been restored.
