Covid-19 news today March 24: Vietnam added 120,000 Covid-19 cases, down 7,886 cases compared to yesterday.

The Ministry of Health said that in the past 24 hours, the whole country recorded 120,000 new infections in 62 provinces and cities, down 7,886 cases compared to yesterday. In which, there are 8 imported cases and 119.992 domestic cases, including 84,819 community cases.

Hanoi has the highest number of new cases with 12,485 cases. The localities that recorded the highest number of infections compared to yesterday include Binh Duong (up 1,400 cases), Dak Lak (up 984 cases), Ninh Binh (up 264 cases).

Thus, from the beginning of the epidemic until now, Vietnam has 8,599,751 infections, ranking 14 out of 225 countries and territories, while with the ratio of infections per million people, Vietnam ranks 121/225 countries and territories.

Particularly for the fourth outbreak from April 27, 2021 to present, the whole country has 8,592,064 cases of Covid-19. Of which, 4,823,207 patients have been declared cured. Localities with a high cumulative number of infections during this outbreak include Hanoi (1,229,590), Ho Chi Minh City (588,151), Binh Duong (367,835), Nghe An (364,680), Hai Duong (329,557).

Regarding the treatment situation, during the day, 164,754 patients were announced to be cured. The total number of cured cases is 4,826,024 cases. The number of seriously ill patients being treated is 3,650 cases (286 cases of invasive mechanical ventilation and 4 cases of ECMO).
