All Vietnamese players have tested negative for SARS-CoV-2 virus

Language assistant Le Huy Khoa alone tested positive. Therefore, the players sitting near this assistant on the plane were asked by the Japanese side to separate into separate groups for monitoring.

Previously, the Vietnamese team suffered a great loss in terms of force when many players could not attend due to COVID-19, injury or received 2 yellow cards. Therefore, coach Park Hang-seo will surely face many difficulties if any more players in the above group contract COVID-19.

However, the good news for Vietnamese fans is that the team will welcome the return of goalkeeper Dang Van Lam after a period of convalescence. The goalkeeper playing for club Cerezo Osaka will join 20 other players at a hotel in Tokyo.

At the request of the Japan Football Federation (JFA), during the competition in Japan, all activities of the Vietnamese team will take place according to the “closed bubble” model. Coach Park’s teachers and students are expected to have 3 training sessions at Saitama Stadium before entering the official match against host Japan at this stadium at 19:35 on March 29.
