“Hot Balloon Festival – Colorful Hanoi” took place at the Long Bien longan garden in Long Bien district (Hanoi) organized by the Hanoi Department of Tourism.

During the opening period, visitors can visit and play for free. However, from March 26, the organizers will sell entrance tickets. Accordingly, the adult fare is 60,000 VND/person, children under 1.1m are free; ticket to visit hot air balloon is 25,000 VND/person; Flight tickets are 150,000 VND/person for children and 300,000 VND/person for adults.

After this festival, hot air balloons will be a regular tourist product of Hanoi at the Long Bien longan garden. Hot air balloons are only allowed to fly in conditions of wind level 3 or less and no rain. In case of bad weather, the event will be suspended. Travelers who buy tickets will be refunded or rescheduled for another day.

Today (March 27) due to weather conditions, strong wind combined with drizzle, the organizers of the hot air balloon festival here decided to suspend the flight experience program.

Although it was closed due to bad weather, many people, because they had worked hard to come here, could not experience the hot air balloon experience, so they wanted to go to the Red River mudflats to play, but they had to pay a fee of 50,000 VND/person when going through the longan garden area. , where hot air ballooning activities are held.

Although there has been a notice to suspend the hot air balloon due to bad weather, people who want to go to the Red River mudflat to play have to pay 50,000 VND to go through the longan garden area.

“This is my home land, in this we grow crops, raise livestock, plant flowers, and light electric lights, so each person who goes inside will give me 50,000 VND,” the woman standing at the cashier explained to the guest.

The area of ​​the main road to the Red River alluvial ground is blocked with ropes, there are people standing to control people not to pass.

Many people were quite upset with this action, but they came here to play, so they had to accept it.

Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Thang (Ba Vi, Hanoi) traveled more than 60km from home to bring his children here to experience hot air balloons, but when he came here, he realized that because of bad weather, the activity was temporarily closed, so he Thang decided to pay 100,000 VND for his father and son to go to the Red River mudflat to play.

“Actually, it’s normal for a tourist area to lose tickets, but we didn’t go to the longan garden, we just went through this area to go to the Red River beach. So if there is a fee to go through, I think the fee of 5,000 – 10,000 per person is too high,” Thang said.

“This is no different from tricking tourists, we took time to get out here, lost money to buy tickets to come in, to know that the activity was suspended. If it is delayed, we have to let us go in and pay the ticket, but why do we have to collect more money to go here,” said Ms. Nguyen Ngoc Huong (Nam Tu Liem, Hanoi).
