Huawei is developing a feature to help connect its PC models with other electronic devices such as TVs, tablets, phones, etc.
This feature is called “Super Device” by Huawei. Basically, “Super Device” is created by connecting a compatible Huawei product to another electronic device. The feature will be available on Huawei PCs. After the tablet connects to the PC to form a “Super Device”, the user can access the files on various devices. This eliminates the need for complicated file transfers, allowing users to focus on maximizing productivity with fewer distractions.
The “Super Device” feature will also be supported on all Huawei PC models by upgrading PC Manager to the latest 12.0.2 version. PC models such as Huawei MateBook 14 and Huawei Matepad 11 also come with this feature pre-installed.
“Super Device” is being perfected by Huawei with many different modes. The first is “mirroring mode”. With this mode, the tablet’s screen mirrors exactly what the PC screen is showing. It allows the tablet to use the PC’s hardware, while the PC has access to the tablet stylus’s functionality. Users can also use a tablet to draw, with images appearing straight on the PC.
“Extended mode” allows to turn the tablet into a second secondary display for the PC. This helps deliver a more efficient smart office experience. Users can open two PC software at the same time, one displayed on the laptop screen, the other displayed on the tablet screen. Finally “collaborative mode”. In this mode, the tablet can share the keyboard and mouse with the laptop. In addition, files and documents can be dragged back and forth across operating systems.
The development of smart connectivity is part of Huawei’s plan for a ‘seamless AI life.’ Work, leisure, sports and travel experiences are included in this strategy, focusing on 5 main goals, including: smart office, smart home, entertainment, health – fitness and smart travel.
“Huawei envisions a PC as the heart of an interconnected system. By allowing devices to work seamlessly, users will avoid the hassle of having to learn software or new hardware. The company’s current toolkit helps users move towards a realized ‘AI life'”, a Huawei representative shared.
