Blue-chip stocks pulled VN-Index over 1,500 points

The exploratory sentiment over the past week seems to have been partially removed when this morning session saw a strong green color in large-cap groups. The VN30 basket continued to light up the return of cash flow, 26/30 positive codes pulled the VN30-Index up more than 22 points to 1,530.93 points.

The focus this morning was on retail stocks. PNJ had a strong breakout session from the old peak with a gain of almost all of its range, MWG also added 4.9% or DGW also had a losing session with a margin of 2.8%.

In fact, many retail stocks have overtaken each other over the past time, this is also a group of industries that is considered to have positive recovery prospects after the pandemic and has attracted quite a good cash flow.

In addition, a number of businesses also revealed ambitious business plans this year through the newly released General Meeting of Shareholders documents.

Banking stocks continued to have a positive morning and gradually regained their leading role in the overall index. VPB increased strongly by 3% with a sudden trading volume more than twice that of previous sessions, reaching more than 24 million shares, bringing this ticker close to the short-term peak. Big boys VCB, CTG, BID also gained quite well with a range of 1-1.5%.

The signal of today’s session was “clearer” for banking stocks, however, the pressure to take profit when stocks approached the resistance level was still present.

VN-Index temporarily closed the morning session, surpassing the psychological resistance level with a range of 14.07 points to 1,506.22 points. Liquidity improved compared to yesterday morning session (March 31) and equivalent to the 1-month average, more than 480 million shares were traded, equivalent to more than 14,700 billion dong.

The HNX-Index narrowed its decline at the end of the session to a range of only 0.27 points, down to 449.35 points; traded more than 77 million shares, equivalent to more than 2,000 billion dong.
