Bruno Fernandes extends contract with Man Utd, salary doubled
Bruno Fernandes has signed a new contract and is with Manchester United until the end of the 2025/26 season. The Portuguese midfielder also received a salary increase to £ 240,000 a week, twice the amount he received in the old contract.
This is a reward for the dedication of the Portuguese midfielder. Since joining the “Red Devils” in early 2020, Bruno has played 117 matches, scored 49 goals and assisted 39 times in all competitions. He helped Manchester United win the Premier League runners-up and Europa League runners-up last season.
Immediately after signing, the 27-year-old midfielder happily said: “Since the moment I joined Man Utd, I have had a special relationship with the club and the fans here.
Since I was a kid, I always watched MU play and dreamed of having the opportunity to play at Old Trafford. I’m happy and honored that that dream has come true.”
Bruno Fernandes has just made a great contribution to helping Portugal officially win tickets to the 2022 World Cup finals. He added:
“There’s a lot more that I hope to achieve here. The whole team wants to give the fans the success they deserve.”
With the salary increased to £ 240,000 / week, Bruno Fernandes has surpassed captains Harry Maguire and Marcus Rashford on the MU payroll.
However, his weekly earnings are still lower than Cristiano Ronaldo, David de Gea, Jadon Sancho, Raphael Varane, Paul Pogba and Edinson Cavani.
