VZ: The Russian army has just “destroyed” a series of weapons that Ukraine is about to receive from the West

According to the latest statement of the Army Russia, they used “high-precision weapons” to destroy the fuel depots of Kremenchug – the last major refinery operating on Ukrainian territory. In addition, military airfields in Poltava and Dnepropetrovsk were destroyed.

There are 6 oil refineries on the territory of Ukraine. In addition to Kremenchug were Lisichansky, Kherson, Drohobych, Odessa and Nadvirnyansky – in addition to the recently raided facility – all of which were decommissioned before 2012.

Analyst Marat Bashirov confidently asserted that the raid was a “retaliation” to the incident of Ukraine’s Mi-24 armed helicopters attacking the oil depot in Belgorod.

Associate Professor Alexander Perendzhiev also agrees that this is a response to the Belgorod attack and that, according to him, the Ukrainian Army will not be able to operate its equipment well, including those that are about to be supplied from Europe. Europe and America:

“Really, the weapons that will be supplied to Ukraine will simply be scrap metal – but if they fall into the hands of the Russians, they can turn them back into a fully functional weapon.”

Mr. Perendzhiev added that rocket artillery, tanks or self-propelled guns do not move with human power and “if all these things stood still – it would be easier to destroy them”.

This analyst also doubts that the West can make up for the amount of fuel needed by the Ukrainian Army and thinks it is related to high oil prices and mainly to the needs of European countries themselves.

The editor of the magazine “The Cannons of the Motherland” Aleksey Leonkov said that in emergencies Kiev can still carry out fuel and lubricant supplies because there are reserves, but the raid is certain will certainly make it easier for Russia to destroy Ukrainian weapons.

Russian forces recovered three T-64 tanks abandoned by the Ukrainian side (supposedly due to lack of fuel) at Chernigov/Chernihiv.

Contrary to other analysts, Leonkov suggested that the raid was not a response to the attack on Belgorod, but related to intelligence that the fuel at Kremenchug was supplied to the Ukrainian Army and not only to the Ukrainian army. civil purposes.

According to Leonkov, the Ukrainian army group in the Donbass continues to shell Donetsk, Gorlovka and Makeevka and “this must stop” – that is why the Kremenchug oil refinery was attacked.

Konstantin Sivkov, vice-president of the Russian Academy of Rocket and Artillery Sciences, added that the attack on the refinery would have long-term military effects. “because fuels and lubricants need to be produced regularly”.

Commenting on the raids on the Poltava and Dnepropetrovsk airfields, Mr. Perendzhiyev did not rule out the possibility that it was not only the destruction of the airfields, but also command posts, fuel depots and spare parts.

Leonkov noted that there may be infrastructure for helicopters in Poltava and Dnepropetrovsk, which became the mainstay of the Ukrainian Air Force after the destruction of aircraft and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).
