Vo Thanh Tam participated in a meaningful film project.

With a length of 5 minutes, the film is a journey of Vo Thanh Tam in villages – highland villages in the North. The life and cultural diversity of the region is also a highlight of the film at the beginning.

During his journey, Vo Thanh Tam happily collected the garbage left by innocent children after receiving gifts and cakes. An innocent act, lack of instruction on the meaning of needing to protect the environment, even the smallest pieces of garbage are also put in the right places.

However, the later part of the film with the scene of a highland market with the abuse of plastic materials from food bags, straws, etc. The end of the film is an image of Vo Thanh Tam. Bewildered and dismayed, sitting in the middle of a “sea of ​​garbage” with all kinds and shapes of garbage related to plastic and nylon bags.

Director Hai Thanh, the author of the project Go where said that all images in the short film recorded were actual places where the crew had been and made in 5 days, from Cam Ranh to Yen Bai.

Vo Thanh Tam said that this is a meaningful and practical project to propagate the protection of the earth: “The whole work does not have a single bit of exhortations and big words. The journey is also closed. These questions are asked and can only be answered by the practical actions of each individual.This is something that no one can force others, can only be self-awareness and then change. habit”.

Go where? is a short film made to support the National Action Plan on ocean waste management to 2030, according to Decision 1746/QD-TTg issued by the Prime Minister on December 4, 2019. The work is made possible with the support of the Ocean Conservancy NGO – a non-profit environmental advocacy group based in Washington, DC, USA.
