More than 3,700 billion VND to build Tuyen Quang – Phu Tho highway
The 40 km long Tuyen Quang – Phu Tho expressway is adjusted with the total investment from 3,110 to 3,710 billion VND, capital from the central and local budgets.
According to the decision dated April 6 by Deputy Prime Minister Le Van Thanh, the total investment capital of the first phase of the expressway project is VND 3,250 billion; The second phase is nearly 460 billion VND. Thus, the total investment increased by 600 billion VND compared to the decision at the end of 2020.
The expressway through Tuyen Quang province is more than 11 km long; through Phu Tho province is 28 km long.

Earlier, in early December 2019, the Prime Minister approved the investment policy of Tuyen Quang – Phu Tho expressway in the form of BOT, with a total capital of 3,270 billion VND. However, in November 2020, the Ministry of Transport proposed the Ministry of Planning and Investment to adjust the investment policy with budget capital. The project is divided into two phases, in the years 2021-2023 for ground clearance with a scale of 4 lanes. The second phase will be implemented after 2025.
Once completed, the Tuyen Quang – Phu Tho expressway will connect with the Noi Bai – Lao Cai highway, reducing congestion on Highway 2.
