Singapore reopens all nightlife

From April 19, visitors can go to bars, pubs, karaoke, discos, nightclubs… without any restrictions.

According to the Ministry of Trade and Industry and Singapore’s Ministry of Home Affairs, nightlife businesses will be reopened from April 19. Visitors to bars and discos must have a rapid negative test result within 24 hours at places recognized by the Singapore Ministry of Health.

In addition, all nightlife businesses must comply with the government’s disease prevention regulations. Guests are only allowed to gather in groups of up to 10 people, and participants must be fully vaccinated. If in an enclosed space, they must wear a mask. If not wearing, guests need to maintain a safe distance of at least one meter.

Events under 1,000 people are not limited in capacity. If the above figure is exceeded, the approved capacity is 75%.

This move to reopen nightlife activities comes as Singapore wants to bring positive energy, hope to businesses and attract tourists. Before that, Singapore was almost removal of entry conditions for tourists. From 11:59pm on March 31, all fully immunized guests, as well as children aged 12 and under, can enter Singapore with just one Covid-19 test within two days of departure. They do not need to undergo isolation or do rapid antigen testing (ART), unsupervised upon arrival.

In addition, Singapore also allows eating at restaurants in groups of up to 10 people, selling and consuming alcoholic beverages after 10:30 p.m., and holding live performances. Wearing a mask outdoors is no longer mandatory.
