Ukrainian officials say that Russian forces launched a rocket attack in the Dnipro area in the central part of the country, destroying the airport there.

“There has been an attack on the Dnipro airport. Nothing remains. The airport and the infrastructure around it have been destroyed,” announced Valentyn Reznichenko, governor of the Dnipropetrovsk region in central Ukraine. on Telegram.

Reznichenko said that the attack on Dnipro injured one person. However, the head of the Dnipro regional council Mykola Lukashuk said that five emergency service workers were injured by the bombardment of the airport.

Meanwhile, the Russian Defense Ministry issued a statement saying that its forces had air strike regions of Dnipropetrovsk, Mykolaiv in the south and Kharkov in the east.

Taras Didych, head of the Dmytrivka community, which includes Buzova and several other villages, said the bodies were found in a ditch near a gas station. The specific death toll has yet to be announced.
