On Facebook car groups are sharing a screenshot of a post selling Hyundai Santa Fe high-end diesel version. The content of the post is what makes the online community pay attention, specifically the owner of the post wrote: “Add 130 million children to deliver Santa Fe high-class diesel engine immediately”.
The story of “scarcity, price” is no longer strange in the Vietnamese market. In fact, Hyundai’s 7-seater SUV has shown signs of “price difference” before the Lunar New Year due to a supply chain disruption leading to a shortage of goods. Last month, customers who wanted to receive the car early had to spend an additional 35-90 million VND, depending on the version and color of the car.
Currently, the above post has been deleted by the owner, but many people have taken screenshots and circulated them on social networks. So far, it is not clear whether the poster is a Hyundai employee or not. Most netizens reacted negatively when they saw the above post. A disgruntled account: “Public it always! Who pays more than that person has a car! When he quits the machinery business to sell cars”.
Since its launch in May 2021, Hyundai Santa Fe has always led in terms of monthly car sales in the 7-seat SUV segment in Vietnam. Although only sold for 7 months last year, this model still achieved sales of more than 12,000 units. In February 2021, this model recorded the lowest sales since its launch, but still far ahead of rivals such as Toyota Fortuner or Kia Sorento.
Hyundai Santa Fe high-end diesel version has a listed price of 1.34 billion VND. If it weren’t for the price, the car owner would have only lost a total of more than 1.4 billion VND to roll this model.
