Queen Elizabeth did not attend Easter Sunday service at Windsor Castle

The above information comes just days after it was announced that, Queen Elizabeth II not engaged Easter every year on April 14, for the first time in more than 50 years. Other members of the British Royal family are expected to attend on April 17.

The Queen, head of the Church of England, has cut back on some public communication in recent times. Although known to be in good health, the Queen has had some mobility problems and she increasingly authorizes other high-profile members of the Royal Family to appear in public.

In February, Buckingham Palace announced that Queen Elizabeth, 95, had tested positive for COVID-19, she was experiencing mild cold-like symptoms. However, the Queen continued to perform light duties at Windsor permanent.

Last week, the Queen revealed that contracting COVID-19 had left her “very tired and exhausted”.

The Queen had previously joined the royal family and other dignitaries for a memorial service in memory of her late husband, Prince Philip, in March. However, she missed Easter. Annual birth takes place on April 14.

For the first time since 1970, she was unable to attend Holy Thursday. Prince Charles took her place, following the tradition of distributing special coins to prominent people in the community. The number of recipients depends on the age of the Queen, this year 96 males and 96 females.

The Queen’s 96th birthday will take place on April 21. The event will be marked by a 41-gun royal ceremony at Hyde Park, but the biggest celebration of the Queen’s official birthday will take place in June.
