The story of finding ace at RBC Heritage

AmericaOn the same 7th hole, Corey Conners got a hole-in-one after the ball went straight to the flag, but Hank Lebioda was rejected by the flagpole in round 1 of the PGA Tour event in South Carolina.

Conners and Lebioda in the morning bracket of April 14, both started from hole 10 at Harbor Town Golf Links, par71. After 15 holes, Conners reached round -3, Lebioda only par.

On the par3 7th hole, 187 yards long, Conners hit with a 7 iron. The ball hit the green and then went straight into the hole.

Lebioda entered the 7th hole against Conners. His shadow was like a laser pinning a pennant. The ball also rolled straight into the hole but did not fall through the flagpole.

After missing the ace, Lebioda recorded a birdie, kept par on both holes and finished at T54 with a score of -1. Conners also pared the last two holes but scored -5, in position T3 thanks to hole-in-one on hole 7.

“The wind blows from left to right. I like that direction. Thanks to that, the ball is quite straight. And the strategy is to try to get into the front of the green to let the ball roll to the hole. I never thought it would come in,” Conners told how to hit hole 7.

From 2020 to now, the Conners have scored four aces on the PGA Tour, the most in the arena. The Canadian golfer just got a PGA Tour title – Texas Open 2019. Last week, he was in the top 10 finals at the major Masters.

RBC Heritage takes place on Harbor Town Golf Links, par71 with a prize fund of eight million USD. The tournament brings together 131 players, including rich faces of PGA Tour titles such as Dustin Johnson, Justin Thomas, Jordan Spieth, Collin Morikawa, Patrick Cantlay. On the opening day, Cantlay stood at T3 (-5), achieving the highest performance in this group of stars.

The top of the table after 18 holes belongs to rookie Cameron Young with a score of -8. This golfer didn’t bogey on opening day.
