The victim was then taken to the emergency room at McLean Hospital in the city of Mississauga, Ontario. Doctors discovered that the bullet was blocked by the silicone breast implant and redirected to the bottom of the woman’s right breast.

Surgeon General Giancarlo McEvenue said: ‘The bullet penetrated the skin of the victim’s left chest, then it was blocked by the breast implant and went to the right before breaking the right rib.

According to doctors, if the bullet went in the right direction to the left chest, the woman’s heart and lungs could be seriously injured, even leading to death.

The bullet removed from the woman’s body was later turned over to police for investigation. At this time, the person who shot the victim has not been identified.
