Yadira Yepes, a 23-year-old woman from Colombia, is facing charges of murder, torture and child trafficking. The results of the investigation showed that the boy was actually the son of the mother Sandra Álvarez, who was murdered by Yepes to rob her. It is known that Yadira Yepes paid 4,000 USD (more than 91 million VND) to hire a group of people to kill a homeless pregnant woman and take the child.
Authorities say Yepes hired three accomplices to take advantage of Álvarez’s drug addiction and persuade her to go for a walk on April 8. One of the three male suspects is said to have dissected Álvarez, who is 37 weeks pregnant, and then removed the child from his mother’s womb before escaping.
People in the area discovered Álvarez’s body along with the placenta and umbilical cord around 1pm on April 9. Surveillance footage obtained by Soacha police shows Yepes holding the child in her arms after the gruesome murder. This woman later confessed that she was pregnant, but after 3 months of miscarriage, she devised a plan to rob someone else’s child.

Soacha Mayor Juan Saldarriaga told W Radio that Yepes had previously been arrested for aggravated theft and was now under house arrest for another murder. “She has accepted the charges and the baby is in good condition“, Mayor Soacha said.
