Big fire at yarn company

At about 20:00, a fire broke out in the warehouse area of Vinatex Phu Cuong yarn factory in Phu Cuong commune, Dinh Quan district. Many security guards and workers used fire extinguishers on the spot to put out the fire, but to no avail.
The raw materials in the warehouse are mainly cotton, fabrics, and fibers that are easily flammable, so it only took about 30 minutes for a fire to cover the entire company. The column of smoke rose hundreds of meters high, burning, red in the sky.

Dong Nai fire police dispatched more than 10 fire engines, along with hundreds of soldiers, divided many fire fighting noses, preventing fire from spreading to companies and neighboring areas. By 22:30, the fire police and local authorities were trying to control the fire and mobilize more rescuers.
Mr. Tran Quang Tu, Chairman of Dinh Quan District People’s Committee, said the fire spread to an area of thousands of square meters, in which some areas of factories collapsed. Initially, the authorities determined that the fire did not cause any casualties.
By late at night, the fire was basically under control.
