Police major saves 2 children from “death”

While sending his children to exercise, Hoang Huu Binh promptly discovered and saved the lives of two young children who had fallen into a deep water hole.

On April 27, information from the Police Hai Duong Province Major Hoang Huu Binh – Deputy Head of the Advisory Department of the Provincial Public Security Hai Duong rescued 2 small children who fell into a deep water hole on April 24.

Specifically, at around 5:00 p.m. on April 24, in the area under construction of the drainage system in Le Thanh Nghi residential area, Hai Tan ward, Hai Duong city, there were two children who unfortunately fell into a deep water hole. At this time, Major Hoang Huu Binh, who was letting his son ride an exercise bike about 30 meters away, heard the children shouting “Drowning, drowning”, so he rushed over immediately.

Arriving there, Mr. Binh saw two small children motionless, submerged about 15 cm below the water surface, only clearly seeing two black hairs. Immediately, Mr. Binh jumped into the deep water hole to rescue both children ashore. This water hole is both deep and full of mud.

When brought ashore, the two children were still unconscious. After being given emergency first aid by Mr. Binh, the two children coughed, belched out water and regained consciousness. Mr. Binh then brought the two children home safely.

“When my two children had an accident, I had just returned from work. It was Sunday, but we still joined the unscheduled mission of the Hai Duong Provincial Police. That afternoon, if scheduled, after checking, I have to attend the meeting at the unit but the meeting was postponed. This area I have never walked through but came that day. Fortunately, the children’s lives were not in danger,” Major Binh said.

According to Hai Duong Provincial Police, the two rescued children are Bui Nguyen K. (6 years old) and Nguyen Vu TA (13 years old, both in Le Thanh Nghi residential area). On the afternoon of April 24, the children went to this area to play, unfortunately, K. fell into the water hole. Seeing that, T. A went down to save K. and both of them had an accident. This water hole is about 1.5 – 2 meters deep.
