Towards the 31st SEA Games: Vietnam women’s futsal team continues to practice bravery

After the second friendly match on April 24, coach Truong Quoc Tuan shared that the coaching staff was still not satisfied with the finishing stages of the students. Therefore, in the last 2 training sessions, the coaching staff focused on forging the “gauge” for students. These adjustments were soon picked up by the female players and improved well in the 3rd friendly match against Bahrain.

Although the home team launched the strongest squad in the first half, the Vietnamese players scored 4 goals. In turn, Le Thi Thanh Ngan (6th minute), Trinh Ngoc Hoa (7th minute), Bui Thuy An (11th minute) and Nguyen Thi Chau (17th minute) entered the scoreboard. The goal that shortened the score to 1-2 in the 9th minute was the only goal of Bahrain’s side in the first half.

Entering the second round, the coaching staff had consecutive tests in each team. Because the female players are not familiar with the lineup, it leads to a deviation in the defense. Taking advantage of that opportunity, the Bahrain team successfully applied the power-play strategy to score 3 goals in the last 7 minutes of the match, setting the final score 4-4.

After the match, coach Truong Quoc Tuan shared: “This is a good match and I am satisfied with the players. The team’s biggest weakness is the ability to finish has gradually improved in the first half. Nam played well, controlled the game. However, the effect was not at its maximum. The coaching staff will continue to improve this for the players. In addition, we will look back and improve more. leadership of the whole team. Leading 4-1 in the first half, but still being equalized 4-4 in the end. That is something the whole team must overcome soon.”

At 20:45 on the evening of April 28 (local time), the women’s futsal team of Vietnam and Bahrain entered the final friendly match. After this match, teacher and coach Truong Quoc Tuan will return home to prepare the final stage for the 31st SEA Games.
