Europe announces new adaptation measures to the COVID-19 pandemic

According to information from the Commission Europethe member states of the European Union have escaped the emergency phase of the pandemic COVID-19 and enter a new phase with influenza-like COVID-19 infection surveillance.

However, the European Commission recommends that member countries promote booster vaccination for people; establish a surveillance system based on a reliable estimate of the number of cases, not on the reporting of all suspected COVID-19 cases; monitor the emergence of further COVID-19 strains, and develop new generations of vaccines.
