Every year, OnePlus launches new high-end devices that offer great value when it comes to balancing price and features.

This also applies to the company’s newly launched OnePlus 10 Pro. However, in a review from DxOMark experts, the product’s photography ability is not really as good as expected.

Set high expectations, OnePlus 10 Pro camera is still worse than iPhone 12 Pro - 1

Accordingly, DxOMark tested the OnePlus 10 Pro and gave it an overall pixel of 127 points. This result is better than last year’s OnePlus 9 Pro which only scored 124 points, but the low progress makes the phone unable to compete with other high-end smartphones such as Pixel 6 (132 points), iPhone 13 Pro Max ( 137 points) and even the Honor P50 Pro (144 points). The OnePlus 10 Pro received specific scores for Photos, Zoom, and Video of 132, 72, and 110, respectively.

In its testing, DXOmark notes that the OnePlus 10 Pro offers good exposure and wide dynamic range in the image. The level of detail is good, there’s no noise, and the autofocus is quick and reliable. On the video front, the stabilization works well, and the smartphone offers a great level of texture in low-light videos.

All was not for the best, though, as the product ran into issues with ghosting artifacts, showing unnatural details in faces, or noticeable noise in super wide-angle shots. White balance isn’t perfect either, and DxOMARK has noticed visual shifts in the video.

Of course, some of these issues can be rectified with a software update, but it’s still a disappointing result for the OnePlus 10 Pro when compared to its predecessor. iPhone 12″ Pro (128 points) which was released in 2020.
