The number of international tourists to Vietnam is 5 times higher than the same period in 2021
Recently, the General Statistics Office released the Report on Socio-Economic Situation in April and the first 4 months of 2022. Accordingly, in this report, international visitors to Vietnam in April 2022 reached 101.4. thousand turns of people, 2.4 times higher than last month and 5.2 times higher than the same period last year.
Generally, in the first four months of 2022, international visitors to our country reached nearly 192.4 thousand arrivals, an increase of 184.7 percent over the same period last year. In which, the number of visitors from Asia reached 118,295, Europe reached 36,198, the Americas 27,821, Australia reached 9,136, Africa reached 907.
In addition, passenger transport in April 2022 was estimated at 358.7 million passengers, up 12.7% over the previous month and rotating 17.2 billion passengers. Passenger transport also reached 1,224.8 million passengers and rotated 56.1 billion passengers in the first 4 months of the year.
Previously, according to analysis data of Google’s market trend tracking tool, the number of searches for flights and accommodation increased sharply by 25-50% since the day Vietnam opened to international tourism on March 15. This is the second highest increase in the world. The most searched markets for Vietnam tourism can be mentioned: USA, Australia, Singapore, France, Japan, Germany, Canada, India, UK, Thailand…
With high vaccine coverage and good disease control, many countries put Vietnam on the list of safe destinations. In the State of Travel Insurance Report 2022 survey by Berkshire Hathaway Travel Protections, Vietnam ranked 25th in the ranking of the safest countries in the world.
