After reviewing the report of Vietnam Airlines, the State Securities Commission said: “The reason given by Vietnam Airlines in the official dispatch dated April 29 is inappropriate”.

The State Securities Commission requires Vietnam Airlines to publish quarterly financial statements within 20 days from the end of the quarter as prescribed by law. According to the provisions of Clause 3, Article 14, Circular 96/2020 of the Ministry of Finance, a large-scale stock-listing organization must publish quarterly financial statements within 20 days from the end of the quarter, i.e. The report for the first quarter of 2022 must be published by April 20, 2022 at the latest.

A public company must disclose its audited annual financial statements within 10 days from the date the audit organization signs the audit report, but not more than 90 days from the end of the year. 2021 must be announced no later than March 31, 2022.

Also according to the financial report of the fourth quarter of 2021 (unaudited) of Vietnam Airlines shows that this total loss after tax was 13,338 billion VND in the previous year.

The accumulated loss on the balance sheet as of December 31 was up to 21,978 billion VND, equivalent to nearly one billion USD.

According to the report, the company’s revenue in the fourth quarter of 2021 reached more than 9,200 billion VND, an increase of more than 1,000 billion compared to the same period in 2020, accumulated for the whole year, revenue reached 28,093 billion VND, down 31% compared to the same period last year. And HVN’s profit after tax in the fourth quarter of 2021 suffered a loss of 1,184 billion dong, accumulating a loss of 13,337 billion dong.
